Anaerobic Power Biogas Benesov s.r.o. (APBB) is a company registered in Czech Republic and located at Přibyšice/Neveklov in the South of Prague. APBB operates a waste treatment plant with the anaerobic digestion process by using the ADOS technology of IUT Austria. APBB treat since February 2009 organic waste out of the region including the city of Prague. All food waste from Prague restaurants, large kitchens arriving daily the plant together with commercial and industrial organic waste streams, expired food and meat, market waste and separate collected kitchen waste from households. The plant as approved to take up to 35.000 ton per year organic waste, out of this the approval allows also to accept up to 10.000 ton per year organic waste from Category III as specified in the European waste catalogue (Slaughterhouse waste and similar).
The plant can sell 1 MW electrical power to the Czech grid and receives the “green bonus” for selling this power until December 31st,2028. The technology operates with a high Biogas yield out of this organic waste (average 200 to 220 m³/ton input) because of a very good biological stability in the thermophilic reactors. APBB plant runs now as the most developed and efficient AD plant with best economical and ecological results.
